With over 30 years of history in the commercial painting industry, Naylor Commercial is one of the region’s largest painting contractors. Today, our team of employees work under the careful supervision of project managers, safety directors, superintendents and engineers. Using industry-leading technology and three decades of experience, we can complete your commercial painting project on-schedule and within budget.

 

As a full-service commercial painting company, we provide comprehensive solutions for our clients.  However, we offer the same quality customer service we’ve had since 1985.

Our Story

In 1985, Greg Naylor opened Naylor Commercial Interiors, Inc. in Dallas, TX. His wife, Paula Naylor, worked along side him as Chief Financial Officer for over 20 years.

 

As a fourth-generation painter, Joshua Naylor started working at his father’s painting company in 1989 as a helper. Josh moved through the ranks becoming a premier painter. In his twenties, Josh came into the office and worked his way up there as well. Firstly, working as an accounting clerk, then as an estimator, a project manager, and finally he became Vice President of the company in 2001. In 2012, Josh and his wife, Marilyn Naylor, purchased the company from his parents, Greg & Paula.

 

Naylor Commercial Interiors, Inc. continues to be a family owned business with Josh not only serving as owner, but as CEO as well. Marilyn Naylor serves as the Chief Financial Officer. They both bring a level of enthusiasm and passion every day into the company.

 

In 2017, Josh and Marilyn Naylor decided to focus on training the next generation of employees and evolving with the construction industry.

 

Safety. Executive leadership decided to incorporate OSHA 30 certification training to the maximum, with the goal of getting all leadership OSHA 30 certified by 2020.

 

Gender Equality. Today, Naylor Commercial proudly states that 21% of our company is women. With full women painting crews, combo crews, and drywall finishing crews, Naylor Commercial is painting the change they want to see in the industry by providing more opportunities to women.

 

Technology. To ensure accuracy in estimating and project management, our team uses QuickBid, Oasis and CRM to provide an accurate takeoff from the start of the project. Field employees are equipped with iPads in order to gather and share data throughout the Operations department.

 

Operations cohesiveness. Our Project Management team and Field work closely together in creating 3-week look-a-heads, material orders and scheduling to ensure a cohesive and accurate project.

 

Today, Naylor Commercial Interiors, Inc. employs qualified employees, from our helpers to our estimators to our executive team. The Naylor team incorporates knowledge, expertise, safety and innovation into every project. We believe in empowering all employees which is why all our scope of work can be done in-house without further supplementation. Unlike other painting companies, Naylor Commercial’s scope of work includes drywall finishing, painting, wall covering, specialty coatings and more.

Safety is paramount to us. The STC group aids Naylor with safety training and consulting. Once a quarter we do a safety stand-down in which STC provides training in a specific area such as ladders, lifts, harassment, etc.  We also have a dedicated HR manager – something our competitors do not. 

 

These qualities allow us to complete projects efficiently while providing fair prices to clients – and fair wages to employees. We are a well-organized machine that has been operating efficiently for over 30 years. We complete projects, on time, within budget and on schedule.

Estimating

Our knowledgeable and skilled estimating team conducts pre-bid meetings, then uses CRM bid-tracking and electronic takeoff software to build a comprehensive estimate.

Project Turnover

We review scope and contract details with the client, allowing us to efficiently bridge the gap between estimating and managing the project.

Project Managment

We manage projects with painstaking detail. We leverage well-established vendor relationships and 30+ years of industry knowledge to order the ideal materials for your unique job.

Document Manager

We’re meticulous with paperwork. Our electronic documentation system keeps our team – and our clients – up-to-date on any changes throughout the course of the project.

Operations

Experienced foremen and superintendents remain on-site to ensure every project moves smoothly. Our OSHA-certified team members use industry-leading technology to maximize efficiency in the field.

Project Completion

Clients receive a detailed and itemized invoice for accounts receivable, billing, and closeouts.
